There have been a lot of rumors surrounding the production of Marvel Studios’ “Blade.” Unfortunately, not a lot of those rumors are good, as the project is rumored to be on the edge of disaster. But one of the more recent rumors was actually exciting, as it said that filmmaker Jeymes Samuel was in talks to direct the film. Well, it appears that is just a rumor.

Samuel took to social media recently to deny that he is actually in talks to direct the upcoming “Blade” film from Marvel Studios. Despite loving the franchise, Samuel said that he is not in talks, even though rumors have said otherwise.
“I don’t know where these rumors start, but I am not in talks to do ‘Blade’ with Marvel,” wrote Samuel. “I love me the Daywalker tho, I cannot wait to watch that joint.”
Samuel is probably best known for his all-star Western, “The Harder They Fall.” Most recently, he directed the biblical film, “The Book of Clarence.” And before all of the filmmaking stuff, Samuel was known as The Bullitts, a hip hop artist.
Unfortunately, with Samuel denying the rumors, it appears “Blade” is still in the limbo it’s been in for a while now. The film has been delayed numerous times, with directors and writers coming and going from the project. And though it seems as if Marvel is still confident a “Blade” film will happen, we seem pretty far away from it becoming a reality.

Sidebar: When Blade 2 came out I prayed they would make:
‘WESLEY SNIPES/CHRISTOPHER LEE – BLADE III’
It didn’t happen sadly. 😢
