‘Boiling Point’ Trailer: BBC Is Here With Your ‘The Bear’ Fix With A New Kitchen Drama

Back before “The Bear” won over fans on FX in 2022, there was a British film titled “Boiling Point.” The film wasn’t a massive crossover hit, but it was really well received by critics when it was released in 2021. Now, building off the success of the film, as well as the obvious love of chaotic kitchens that people developed after watching “The Bear,” BBC is bringing “Boiling Point” back as a new series.

As seen in the trailer for “Boiling Point,” the upcoming BBC series follows the story of a head chef looking to make a name for herself with a new London restaurant. You can kinda see how this is similar to “The Bear,” huh? Well, adding a wrinkle to the story is the fact that the underrated Stephen Graham shows up as the head chef’s former mentor who has been out of commission with a heart attack and who is struggling to find his place in all of this.

Joining Graham in the cast for the series are Vinette Robinson, Ray Panthaki, Hannah Walters, Joel MacCormack, Gary Lamont, and more.

“Boiling Point” hits the BBC on October 1. You can watch the trailer below.

Here’s the synopsis:

Eight months after her mentor Andy Jones (Stephen Graham) suffered a heart attack, head chef Carly (Vinette Robinson) is battling to forge a name for new London restaurant Point North alongside her old kitchen crew. With the pressure to draw in new, hungry customers and the financial squeeze to keep the business profitable, the team must find a way to manage their complicated personal lives whilst creating quality food day in, day out.
