Got a Tip?

Bootleg One Final Trunk Of New Images From Lawless, Starring Tom Hardy, Shia LaBeouf & Jessica Chastain

nullIf you're one of the many who are greatly anticipating John Hillcoat's prohibition-era bootlegging drama "Lawless," perhaps viewing it as the last great possible film of the summer, well, your patient wait is down to four days now. At this point you likely already know that the cast is superb and features a bevy of veterans and up-and-comers, like Tom Hardy, Shia Labeouf, Jessica Chastain, Guy Pearce, Gary Oldman, Mia Wasikowska, Jason Clarke and Dane DeHaan.

Based on the novel "The Wettest County In The World," and written by composer/musician/writer Nick Cave, "Lawless" is the true story of the infamous Bondurant Brothers, bootlegging siblings who made a run for the American Dream in Prohibition-era Virginia. In this epic outlaw tale, inspired by true-life tales of author Matt Bondurant's family, the loyalty of three brothers is put to the test against the backdrop of the nation's most notorious crime wave.

By now you've likely seen the red-band trailer, postersvarious scenes and clips from the film, several infographics, lots and lots of photos, and read about a soundtrack that puts a bluesy, bad-moon-rising sheen on tracks by the Velvet Underground, Grandaddy, Captain Beefheart and Link Wray, by musicians like Cave, Emmylou Harris, Willie Nelson, Mark Lanegan from Screaming Trees and Queens of the Stone Age, and more.

You can read our review of the film from Cannes here, it sounds like a lively and entertaining good time. Here's our interview with Hillcoat and Nick Cave and our conversation with the film's theatrical villain played by Guy Pearce. "Lawless" unloads on August 29. [HeyUGuys/Filmz
