Brian Geraghty, Josh Peck & Margarita Levieva To Topline David Brooks' Thriller 'ATM'

Brian Geraghty, Josh Peck and Margarita Levieva will topline David Brooks’ upcoming thriller “ATM” from a script by Chris Sparling, the buzzed writer of Rodrigo Cortes’ Ryan Reynolds one-man show “Buried.”

The film is reportedly aiming for a Hitchcockian vibe in the story of three co-workers who take a late-night trip to an ATM only to find themselves in a desperate fight for survival against an unknown male.

It’s a synopsis not all that dissimilar to Joel Schumacher’s “Phone Booth” but with the congregation of promising up-and-comers here, the project has blipped on our radars. All three have shown glimpses of their talent in recent years — Geraghty in “The Hurt Locker,” Peck in “The Wackness” and Levieva in “Adventureland” — and seem ripe for a project like this which will probably draw a fair bit of attention on the back of Sparling’s work in “Buried.”

We were even campaigning for Geraghty for the titular role in Joe Johnston’s “Captain America” after his outstanding performance alongside the more lauded Jeremy Renner and Anthony Mackie in Kathryn Bigelow’s Best Picture-winner and still think he would have been a great choice.

“ATM” will see director Brooks make his major feature debut with only the little-known “Gone”on his resume. Shooting is aiming for a start in late September in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
