Got a Tip?

Bruce Willis To Star In ’10 Minutes Gone’ From Not-Dead-Yet MoviePass Films

Despite being on the edge of apparent doom, MoviePass is still moving ahead with their film venture, MoviePass Films, and the company has lined up a pretty big star for its next project.

According to Deadline, Bruce Willis has signed on to star in a film titled “10 Minutes Gone.” In the film, a man loses 10 minutes of his memory after being hit by a stray bullet during a failed bank heist. He has to then figure out how to put the pieces of his memory back together to find out who took the money and sabotaged the heist. Willis is set to play an angry crime boss.

As mentioned, the film comes from MoviePass Films, which is the company created after parent company Helios and Matheson purchased Emmett Furla Oasis Films. Now, Randall Emmett, George Furla, and Helios CEO Ted Farnsworth are the bosses of this new production company, which has already released two previous films.

Willis said he was “excited to be working with producers Randall Emmett and George Furla again with their new venture MoviePass Films.”

MoviePass Films previously released the films “Gotti” and “The Row.” As you may remember, “Gotti” became the source of controversy after some sleuthing revealed that the production company allegedly faked a bunch of audience reviews on Rotten Tomatoes to benefit the film’s marketing campaign. Ultimately, it didn’t seem to work as the film became a box office bomb, as well as a complete critical failure.

Now, as Helios and Matheson struggle to stay in business, the production company is moving forward with “10 Minutes Gone,” which is scheduled to begin production on September 10. The film will be directed by Brian A. Miller, from a script written by Kelvin Mao and Jeff Jingle. Joining Willis in the cast is Meadow Williams, who has just completed filming on the upcoming Mel Gibson and Naomi Watts film “Boss Level.”
