A couple of nerdy, comic book odds and ends coming your way, so strap in — and you might want to bring your 3D glasses with you…
That's right, after employing the format for the upcoming "Jack The Giant Slayer," Bryan Singer says he'll be bringing 3D to "X-Men: Days Of Future Past." "I'll probably use some of the motion-capture technology for certain things [in 'Days of Future Past']," he told CinemaBlend about the high gadgets from 'Slayer' that he might use again. "And of course the 3D technology. I'll be shooting native stereo on 'X-Men.' " Well, at least it won't be converted right? Aside from that, Singer is pretty much remaining tightlipped regarding anything else about the followup, because he's promising to push the genre envelope.
"There's things that we're going to do in this movie that haven't been done in 'X-Men' films before. Stuff involving [time travel], and stuff involving certain technology, and certain science fiction aspects that haven't been used before in an 'X-Men' film," he said. "We'd like to keep some of that a surprise." Fair enough. And speaking of surprises, here's one…
It looks like Hayley Atwell will be in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" after all. It was just last month the actress said she wouldn't be returning, but either it was a bit of misdirection, or more likely, she realizes her part in the followup is small. Stanley Tucci, who played Dr. Abraham Erskine, spilled the beans about the actress' possible involvement. “No, they haven’t [asked], unfortunately. I’m really sad,” he told Collider about the possibility of reprising his role. “I know that Hayley is going back to do a flashback scene,” he added.
Spoiler alert? We'd reckon whatever the scene is, it's likely minor, so whatever either way. We'll find out who's back and who's not on April 4, 2014.
