It really feels like M. Night Shyamalan’s name has been everywhere over the past several months. One of his daughters released her directorial debut, “The Watchers.” Then you had Shyamalan himself release his newest film, “Trap.” And next, he’s a producer on a new Max Original film, “Caddo Lake.”

As seen in the trailer, “Caddo Lake” is a creepy thriller about a young girl who goes missing in a backwoods community. As you might expect, everyone bands together to find her, but they soon discover a link between them. Honestly, it’s what you might expect from a Shyamalan-esque film, with its vague trailer and hints at something supernatural.
The film stars Dylan O’Brien, Eliza Scanlen, Diana Hopper, Caroline Falk, Sam Hennings, Eric Lange, and Lauren Ambrose. “Caddo Lake” is written and directed by Celine Held and Logan George. Held and George are best known for their debut feature, “Topside,” which debuted at the Venice Film Festival back in 2020. The film also screened at SXSW where it would eventually take home the Jury Prize for Best Directing.
“Caddo Lake” is set to arrive on Max on October 10. You can watch the trailer below.
Here’s the synopsis:
When an eight-year-old girl mysteriously vanishes, a series of past deaths and disappearances start to link together, forever altering a broken family’s history.
