While Vince Vaughn is expected to take a role in "True Detective," the actor knows what side his bread is buttered on, and it’s the comedic side. The actor will star in the Seth Rogen-produced, Michael Dowse ("Goon," "What If")-directed "The Politician." The Black List script by Matthew Bass and Theodore Bressman follows "a politician in Washington D.C. who is caught in a scandal with some hookers. The man and his underachieving accomplice go on the run from the FBI, U.S. Marshals and a gang of drug dealers." Wacky. This one will probably have to wait until Vaughn’s HBO duties are finished before it rolls. [THR]
