It’s really difficult to get a cinematic universe off the ground. We’ve seen that in nearly every Hollywood attempt, outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And over on Prime Video, the Russo Brothers are attempting to make a universe out of the big-budget series, “Citadel.” The first spinoff, of many, is “Citadel: Diana.”

As seen in the trailer, “Citadel: Diana” tells the story of an undercover Citadel agent, Diana, as she is stuck behind enemy lines as a mole. The series is one of several planned shows that take the “Citadel” brand and spread it around the world. Interestingly, the new trailer for ‘Diana’ is actually dubbed in English, which is a… choice. The series is clearly Italian. Oh well.
The series stars Matilda De Angelis as the title character. The actress is probably best known for her role in the HBO series, “The Undoing.”
“Citadel: Diana” debuts on Prime Video on October 10. You can watch the new trailer below.
Here’s the synopsis:
Diana Cavalieri (Matilda De Angelis), an undercover Citadel agent, is trapped behind enemy lines as a mole in Manticore. When she finally sees a way out and the chance to disappear forever, the only way to do so is trusting the most unexpected ally, Edo Zani (Lorenzo Cervasio), the heir of Manticore Italy and son of the head of the Italian organization, Ettore Zani (Maurizio Lombardi), who’s vying for leadership against the other European families.
