Colin Farrell and Eric Bana are in early talks to star in “By Virtue Fall,” a drama that will mark the directorial debut by Oscar nominated “Up In The Air” screenwriter Sheldon Turner.
Details on the project are scarce right now, but the story “charts a professional and personal relationship between two characters that evolves from friendship to betrayal and retribution.” Bana and Farrell as former best buds who become enemies? Certainly, that’s not unknown territory for Turner who had a very public awards season spat with Jason Reitman over who did what in adapting Walter Kirn’s novel for the big screen.
Well, we’re sure that Reitman will look on with great interest as Turner makes his first steps behind the camera. Voltage Pictures, the production team behind “The Hurt Locker” are backing the film and it’s probably not a stretch to assume this one is being eyed as an awards season contender.
