Stream Two New Songs From The 'Damsel' Soundtrack By The Octopus Project

In honor of the “Damsel” soundtrack’s pending release, timed perfectly with the film, we’re sharing two exclusive tracks, “Samuel & Penelope” and “The End.” Composed and performed by The Octopus Project, the “Damsel” score is beautiful and fits the film perfectly. If you’re not familiar with The Octopus Project, you should be! They’re a band from Austin, Texas and have previously worked on soundtracks for several films, including most recently on “Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter,” from the filmmakers behind “Damsel.”

Here’s a synopsis for the film:

Samuel Alabaster (Robert Pattinson), an affluent pioneer, ventures across the American Frontier to marry the love of his life, Penelope (Mia Wasikowska). As Samuel traverses the Wild West with a drunkard named Parson Henry (David Zellner) and a miniature horse called Butterscotch, their once-simple journey grows treacherous, blurring the lines between hero, villain and damsel. A loving reinvention of the western genre from the Zellner brothers (Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter), DAMSEL showcases their trademark unpredictability, off-kilter sense of humor, and unique brand of humanism.

The soundtrack for “Damsel” will be released on June 22, alongside the film’s theatrical debut.
