The red-band trailer for David Wain’s “Role Models” has hit the web, and it adds more raunch, but more redemption as well. It doesn’t show too much filth compared to other red-band trailers, but it kind of makes the movie look even cuter while shoving its message down our throats. “We can do this. We just got to stick together.”Is it sub-par Apatow?
The film isabout two energy drink reps (Sean William Scott and Paul Rudd) forced to enroll in a community service program where they mentor two young boys. Sounds amusing enough, but the trailer only delivers one relatively funny joke not in the PG-13 trailer, so hopefully the crude/sexual content, strong language, and nudity not seen here is a lot funnier than these two underwhelming trailers. We aren’t expecting much from this comedy, because we sat stoned face through both of them, but we are fans of Paul Rudd, David Wain, McLovin’ and the rest of the cast. Here’s to hoping this gets better . “Role Models” hits theaters November 7.
