Marvel Pulls 'Blade' From Its November 2025 Release Date & Adds Three More Mystery Dates For 2028

What comes as no shock to people who have been following the behind-the-scenes drama, it appears Disney has removed “Blade” from its November 2025 release date.

According to Deadline, Disney has decided to pull “Blade” from its release schedule, where it was dated for November 7, 2025, and instead, the studio has replaced it with the forthcoming film, “Predator: Badlands.” Again, this is not really a surprise to anyone, as the “Blade” reboot has been the subject of quite a few creative overhauls over the years.

Originally announced way back in 2019, Marvel Studios’ “Blade” reboot is intended to star Mahershala Ali as the title character. However, since its announcement, the studio has struggled to land on a script that it likes. So, through it all, we’ve seen directors sign on and then leave when delays happen. There have also been no less than six writers who have taken shots at the script over the years. Honestly, it does seem as if there is a lot of baggage when it comes to the “Blade” reboot that might not ever get figured out.

“Predator: Badlands” is the sequel to the film “Prey.” This new one is, once again, directed by Dan Trachtenberg. It seems as if Disney learned its lesson and is now planning on releasing ‘Badlands’ in a wide release. “Prey,” on the other hand, was sent directly to Hulu

In addition to this news, Marvel did also add three more dates for projects in the future: February 18, 2028, May 5, 2028, and Nov. 10, 2028. Obviously, we don’t have any clue what might show up in those slots.

Back to “Blade,” it’s still unclear when we might see the film finally arrive in theaters. 2025 is obviously out of the question. Perhaps they can get their act together and release it in 2026? We’ll just have to wait and see.
