'Django Unchained' Infographic Plus Posters For 'Trouble With The Curve' & 'Sinister'

nullToday we have an infographic for one of the most anticipated movies of the year, plus a pair of posters for two wildly different films — one a heartwarming tale of redemption, and the other about a family discovering hidden horrors in their new home.

First up, because it worked so well for "Lawless," it looks like The Weinstein Company are going down the infographic promotional road again with Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained." This little informative guide provides info on the history of bounty hunting through the ages, because we're pretty sure that instead of new stills, a clip, trailer or poster, this is what every QT fanboy has been waiting for. We hope that the next one is about the evolution of saddles. "Django Unchained" teaches you history on Christmas Day. [Facebook]

Next is a pretty uninspired poster from the Clint Eastwood-starring baseball drama “Trouble With The Curve.” Let’s disregard the cheesy tagline, “whatever life throws at you,” and instead focus on the terrible photoshop skills on display. At the very least, Amy Adams and Eastwood seem like they’re inhabiting the same plane, but the image of Justin Timberlake seems pulled from a different setting entirely. Talking to empty chairs aside, Eastwood is a screen presence that’s fun to watch — hell, even that much-mocked bit was fun to watch — and we hope that the film is more nuanced than the broad trailer would suggest. “Trouble With The Curve” opens September 21st. Lastly, we have a poster for the Ethan Hawke-starring horror film “Sinister,” which has moved its release back a week to October 12th, away from likely hits “Taken 2” and Tim Burton’s return to stop-motion animation, “Frankenweenie.” The film, directed and co-written by Scott Derrickson (“The Exorcism of Emily Rose”), centers on Hawke as a true-crime writer who moves his family into a house where a grisly incident took place, and where he discovers some weird tapes in the attic. So, definite shades of “The Amityville Horror,” with a bit of a snuff-angle, then? The poster shows a crude drawing of a man’s face with the tagline, “Have you seen him?” As far as posters for modern horror films go, it’s okay, even if it invokes this meme, which spurred development of a feature that at one point had “The Strangers” director Bryan Bertino attached with Sam Raimi producing under his Ghost House Pictures banner. Anyway, “Sinister” should be a better choice than “Paranormal Activity 4” for Halloween scares.nullnull
