With Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson now firmly moving into their post-‘Harry Potter‘ careers it’s now time for the rest of the cast to do the same (we’re looking at you, Rupert Grint!). And now, another cast member is making a notable change of pace for his next big screen outing.
ComingSoon reports that Tom Felton, best known as Draco Malfoy in the beloved franchise, has signed to star opposite Sharon Stone in Tony Kaye‘s sexual thriller “Attachment.” Penned by actor Christopher Denham (who wrote and directed the POV horror flick “Home Movie“), the story will center on a married woman who has a one night stand with a student, but things get out of hand when he returns, dates her daughter and begins stalking her. We cheekily suggested Sam Clafin and Shiloh Fernandez as possible leads last month, and it seems the producers went in that direction, picking a franchise player who is still not quite a household name, but young enough to fit snugly in the role of the student.
We suppose the last major role to cast is that of the daughter, so we’ll see who gets lined up. Production will start in April, but if you need a Kaye fix now, his classroom drama “Detachment” is now on VOD and will roll into theaters on Friday (review here).
