'Elizabeth Harvest' Trailer: Whatever You Do, Don't Go In That Room!

Everyone knows that the second they’re told not to go into a specific room, all they can think about is going into that room. That’s the basic premise of the new horror-thriller “Elizabeth Harvest.”

As seen in the trailer for the film, which stars Abbey Lee as the titular character, follows a young woman who marries a wealthy scientist (Ciarán Hinds) and is given access to every bit of his incredible estate. Well, every bit minus one room, carefully hidden behind fogged glass. He clearly tells his young bride that no matter what she does, she’s not allowed in that room. What’s a girl to do? Well, go into the room, obviously!

Once in the room, she discovers a science experiment that throws everything she knows about her marriage and her own self into question. What could it all be? Guess you’ll have to check out the film later this summer.

“Elizabeth Harvest” stars Lee and Hinds, alongside Carla Gugino and Matthew Beard. The film is written and directed by Sebastian Gutierrez, who is best known for his films “Women in Trouble” and “Elektra Luxx.”

“Elizabeth Harvest” will hit theaters and VOD on August 10.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Nothing is as it seems in this brain-bending plunge into our darkest desires. Elizabeth (Abbey Lee), a beautiful young newlywed, arrives at the palatial estate of her brilliant scientist husband Henry (Ciarán Hinds). Ensconced in modernist luxury with an obedient—if slightly unsettling—house staff (Carla Gugino & Matthew Beard), she has seemingly everything she could want. But one mystery tantalizes her: what is behind the locked door to Henry’s laboratory that he has forbidden her to enter? When an inquisitive Elizabeth dares to find out, everything she thought she knew about her husband—and about herself—will change. Elizabeth Harvest casts a spell of creeping Gothic menace as it unravels a disturbing tale of identity, obsession, and twisted love.
