Growing up ain’t easy, but neither is raising a child, particularly on your own, and coming of age and the hard realities of being a single parent collide in “Hellion” starring Aaron Paul. After debuting at the Sundance Film Festival in January, and then hitting SXSW in March where it picked up a Gamechanger Award – Special Mention for writer/director Kat Candler, it’s now in theatres and coming close to you this weekend.
Juliette Lewis and newcomer Josh Wiggins co-star in this film that tracks Jacob, a 13-year-old on the edge of a dangerous lifestyle that is raising eyebrows around town, and his father Hollis, still devastated by the loss of his wife, as he struggles to mourn and keep an eye on his two sons. In this exclusive scene we see the tough love Hollis tries to have on Jacob, showing an interest in his life, while also trying to guide him out of trouble and into something else more constructive.
