If you can't get away this summer, Woody Allen's "To Rome With Love" might just be the next best thing. After taking audiences to the most romantic city in the world last year with "Midnight In Paris," Allen returns to cinemas with another Euro-flavored ensemble comedy with "To Rome With Love," an Italian getaway that you can savor at your local arthouse.
Starring Penélope Cruz, Ellen Page, Jesse Eisenberg, Alec Baldwin, Alison Pill, Greta Gerwig, Judy Davis, Roberto Benigni, Allen himself and many more, the film presents four different vignettes, including Benigni as an ordinary man who suddenly finds himself becoming a celebrity, Cruz as a prostitute out on job, Eisenberg as a man caught in a love triangle, and Allen and Davis as a couple whose daughter (Pill) is seeing an Italian man. It's a mix of familiar faces for Allen, and new names as well, all tackling his signature brand of witty comedy and romance. And these exclusive behind-the-scenes images give a nice taste of what Allen's trademark easygoing film set was like for the cast.
"To Rome With Love" hits theaters on June 22nd in limited release and will make it's stateside bow on Thursday, June 14th at the L.A. Film Festival.
