Exclusive: Denis Villeneuve Talks The Creative Experiment Of ‘Enemy’ In Clip From DVD Release

Enemy, Jake GyllenhaalRanked among our Best Films Of 2014 So Far…, Denis Villeneuve‘s "Enemy" is truly something special, and if you’ve been reading the site, you already know how fond we are of the picture. It’s a mindbender of the best kind, taking audiences on a journey inside the psyche of a man riddled with guilt, with surrealistic touches that David Lynch would be proud of. But if you haven’t managed to catch it yet, the good news is that it’s coming to home video this week and we’ve got an exclusive look at some of the extra content.

Below you can check out a clip from the featurette, “Lucid Dreams: The Making of Enemy,” and it highlights the creative partnership Villeneuve sought as he embarked on a project he acknowledges was an "experiment" to his approach in working with actors. And it highlights the spirited, combative and ultimately respectful relationship between Villeneuve and Gyllenhaal (who also made the excellent "Prisoners" together), who both pushed each other to make the best film possible. It’s a nice look behind-the-scenes, and that working collaboration resulted in a film we called "terrifically haunting."

"Enemy" arrives on DVD and Blu-ray on June 24th. Watch below.
