Last year at the Sundance Film Festival, we noted that Drake Doremus‘ “Breathe In” was “one of the most emotionally poignant and heartbreaking movies” that screened in Park City. And if the film starring Guy Pearce, Felicity Jones and Amy Ryan may have fallen off your radar, be prepared to put it back on because it’s now headed to theaters and it’s one you’ll want to make room for.
The latest from the “Like Crazy” director chronicles another wrenching love story, this time focused on Sophie, a British exchange student who begins to become drawn to music teacher Keith, whose family is hosting her stay in upstate New York. And in this exclusive clip, an innocent question about auditions crackles with tension and attraction in story that builds to what we called a “devastating” finale. And aided by two solid performances from Jones and Pearce, it’s one that will linger after the credits.
“Breathe In” opens on March 28th. However, if you’re in New York City, we’re hosting a talk with Felicity Jones and Drake Doremus at the Apple Store in SoHo. Check out the clip below along with some new pics.
