While the saying goes that there are only two things certain in life, death and taxes, we tend to assume the former will come much later than it might, while the latter arrives annually like a bad rash. But what happens when death comes earlier than expected? That’s the central question of "Sequoia," and today we have an exclusive clip from the film.

Starring Aly Michalka, Demetri Martin, Joey Lauren Adams, Lou Diamond Phillips and Dustin Milligan, the story follows Riley, a young woman with a life threatening illness who visits Sequoia National Park with the intention of committing suicide, but her plans are complicated by her colorful family and her unexpected romance with a failed musician. As you’ll see in this scene, Riley is dealing with a complex web of emotions as she endeavors to face death on her own terms.
