We’ve all had those post-collegiate jobs, the ones that keep the bills paid until real work comes along. Whether it’s slinging fries, holding down a cubicle in a call center or working a retail counter, it’s the kind of experience that in the best of times will build character or at the very least serve up some good anecdotes down the road. And we’re sure once Emma Roberts‘ Amy Anderson moves on from “Adult World,” she’ll have some stories to tell as well.
Directed by Scott Coffey, “Adult World” tells the story of Amy, a recent college grad and aspiring poet, who takes a job at the titular bookstore — which specializes in XXX material — to help pay off her mounting debt. But things change when crosses paths with Rat Billings (John Cusack), an aging punk poet who agrees to mentor Amy, who learns that she might not be the next great talent she thinks she might be. And in this exclusive clip, we watch as Amy gets acclimated to her new job, and the customers that come through the doors.
“Adult World” is now playing in limited release and is available on VOD. Watch below.
