Told through Priscilla’s eyes, Sofia Coppola tells the story of Elvis and Priscilla Presley that many haven’t seen in popular culture before. From a German army base and a long courtship to a turbulent marriage and Graceland, the film gives us a glimpse of the unknown private moments. The film is based on the book “Elvis and Me” by Priscilla Presley and Sandra Harmon. Cailee Spaeny and Jacob Elordi star.

“Appendage”
As many of us can relate, Hannah seems fine on the surface but struggles with debilitating self-doubt. Eventually, these negative feelings lead to the young fashion designer to become ill and develop a growth on her body. This horror comedy stars Hadley Robinson, Kausar Mohammed, Emily Hampshire, and Brandon Mychal Smith and is directed by Anna Zlokovic.

“All Dirt Roads Taste of Salt”
Having had its world premiere at Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, “All Dirt Roads Taste of Salt” is expected to hit theaters this fall. The film tells the decades-long story of a Mississippi woman’s life. An ode to the generations of people and places that impact our lives and shape us. Starring Charleen McClure, Sheila Atim, Moses Ingram, Reginald Helms Jr., Zainab Jah, and Chris Chalk, and written and directed by Raven Jackson.

“Rustin“
Directed by acclaimed playwright/theater director turned filmmaker George C. Wolfe (“Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom“), his latest drama revolves around the life of gay civil rights activist Bayard Rustin, who helped Martin Luther King Jr. and others organize the 1963 March on Washington. Starring Colman Domingo in the title role, the stacked cast also features Chris Rock, Glynn Turman, Aml Ameen, CCH Pounder, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Michael Potts, Bill Irwin, Jeffrey Wright and Audra McDonald.

“Quiz Lady”
A Gloria Sanchez Productions (Will Ferrell‘s production company, but aimed at female filmmakers), Jessica Yu directs this tale starring Awkwafina and Sandra Oh, and if focuses on a tightly wound, game show-obsessed woman who must come together with her chaotic sister Jenny in order to help pay off their mother’s gambling debts. Jason Schwartzman, Holland Taylor, Tony Hale, and Will Ferrell co-star.
Release Date: November 3 on Hulu via 20th Century Studios.
“Dream Scenario”
Paul Matthews has his life turned upside down when millions of strangers begin to see him in their dreams, but his newfound stardom takes a sharp turn when these dreams start to become nightmares. Matthews is played by none other than Nicolas Cage, who stars alongside Julianne Nicholson, Michael Cera, Tim Meadows, Dylan Gelula, and Dylan Baker. “Dream Scenario” is written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli and produced by Ari Aster.

“The Holdovers”
Paul Giamatti stars as an instructor at a New England prep school who is forced to remain on campus during Christmas to watch the students who have nowhere to go when finds himself forming an unlikely bond between himself, the school’s head cook, and one of the trouble-making students. The film is directed by acclaimed director Alexander Payne and stars Giamatti, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Dominic Sessa, and Tate Donovan.

“The Killer”
Finally, after two decades of maybe being made, David Fincher’s “The Killer” is set to be released this fall. The story, based on the graphic novel of the same name, follows an assassin waiting for his next target, but the longer he waits, the more he thinks he is losing his mind. The film stars Michael Fassbender, Tilda Swinton, Charles Parnell, Monique Ganderton, Arliss Howard, and Kerry O’Malley.

“The Marvels”
From Marvel Studios comes the next chapter in Carol Danvers’s story, “The Marvels.” In this installment, an unlike trio must team up to save the universe as Captain Marvel’s powers become entangled with Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and S.A.B.E.R astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Brie Larson returns as Carol Danvers and stars alongside Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, Samuel L. Jackson, Zawe Ashton, and Park Seo-joon. The film is directed by Nia DaCosta.

“A Family Affair”
What happens when you find your mom in an intimate moment with someone you know? Joey King finds herself in that scenario in the upcoming romantic comedy, “A Family Affair,” in which her mother, played by Nicole Kidman, and her former boss, played by Zac Efron, are caught in a romance that is awkward for everyone. The three then face the complications of love, sex, and identity. Alongside the aforementioned trio, the film stars Liza Koshy and Kathy Bates.
