Mila Kunis Debunks Marvel Casting Rumors: “I’m Not In ‘Fantastic Four'”

Sometimes the tabloid mindset can push rabid fans down serious rabbit holes. One of the more recent examples of this was actress Mila Kunis having lunch with “Fantastic Four” director Matt Shakman (“WandaVision“), who is notably friends with a bunch of Hollywood industry people such as recognizable actors like Kunis. Well, despite famous people often lunching together in Los Angeles the meet-up in February sparked a wave of online casting rumors that Kunis was being courted for the female lead role of Sue Storm, and even less believable rumor she’s up for Ben Grimm, aka, The Thing.

However, with TMZ getting into the action and make all the speculation get into overdrive, debunked it all, denying any involvement in “Fantastic Four” while appearing on “The Late Late Show With James Corden” alongside “X-Men” star Patrick Stewart. She isn’t leaving much wiggle-room either by saying she’s “not in” the film at all. But did give a sly hint that she did know who was, without naming anyone specific.

“Apparently, if you go to lunch with somebody that is also in the industry, you then start working together according to the internet. We went out to a deli and had lunch together, and the next day, I’m somehow in ‘Fantastic Four.’ I am not in ‘Fantastic Four,’ but I know who is,” Kunis said of the rumors based on her lunch with Shakman.

This isn’t even the first time we’ve had to deal with various “Fantastic Four” casting rumors getting out of control as both Emily Blunt (“Edge of Tomorrow“) and Bryce Dallas Howard (“Jurassic World“) had to pour cold water on their own Sue Storm casting rumblings on the internet. However, it does sound like Marvel Studios is indeed in the full-swing of finding actors to fill those four main roles and we won’t have to wait too much longer to find out who they actually are (Adam Driver is heavily rumored for Reed Richards, but it sounds like an offer at best at the moment)

“Fantastic Four” is aiming to begin production next year with an established release date of February 14, 2025. You can watch her respond to Corden’s questions about the rumors below.
