Got a Tip?

First Look: Emily Blunt In ‘Girl On The Train’ And Ben Affleck In ‘The Accountant’

Girl On The TrainFrom best-selling book to blockbuster movie, the train hasn’t stopped rolling for Paula Hawkins‘, uh, "Girl On The Train." And sorry, it’s going to be a year of wordplay before the movie comes out.

“You can’t avoid the puns with this movie — she’s a train wreck,” director Tate Taylor told EW about Rachel Watson, played by Emily Blunt, whose observations of a married couple on her daily commute take a sudden, deadly turn when she sees something not quite right. She’s joined by Luke EvansJustin Theroux, Rebecca Ferguson, and Haley Bennett in the thriller that will land in cinemas on October 7.

Meanwhile, Ben Affleck won’t just be suiting up as Batman in 2016. The actor leads "The Accountant," the latest from director Gavin O’Connor ("Jane Got A Gun," "Warrior"). Early on, the movie, co-starring Anna Kendrick, was said to feature Affleck as a brilliant, autistic accountant at the Treasury Department who doubles as an assassin. That latter description seems to have gone unmentioned in the description from EW, which says the story is about "high-level financial treachery at a robotics company." Maybe WB is trying to keep the assassin element under wraps? Guess we’ll find out the same weekend as "The Girl On The Train."
