While Michael Cera will return to your computer in his most beloved role as George-Michael Bluth in the next season of "Arrested Development," he's always been eager to break out of that mold. And while "Youth In Revolt" was a (half) attempt to do that, his next effort will certainly find him in different waters. And with a different haircut.
The first images from "Magic Magic" have arrived, and they certainly do the right job in getting across the uneasy nature of the premise. Co-starring a strong cast that features Juno Temple, Emily Browning and Catalina Sandino Moreno, and helmed by "The Maid" director Sebastian Silva, the story follows Alice (Temple), an American girl vacationing with her friends in a remote area of Chile who slowly starts losing her mental faculties. When her best friend (Browning) returns to Santiago, things start getting worse, and she tries to get her other friends' attention, but they ignore her until it's too late.
Sony picked up the rights to the picture earlier this year, it shot in the spring, and it's going to be repped at the American Film Market starting this week. Could a Sundance, Berlin or SXSW premiere be around the corner? We hope so as we're curious about this one that, in addition to being off the beaten path for Cera, will find him speaking some Spanish. Pics below. [STYD]
