First Look: Will Arnett And Spike Jonze In David Cross' British TV Show Pilot, 'Todd Margaret'

Spike Jonze has released on-set images of recent shooting for David Cross’ British TV Pilot “The Increasingly Poor Decisions Of Todd Margaret” with the first look at the director and Will Arnett in character.

Jonze also took to discussing his role in the pilot: “I am in just in a couple scenes in the first episode. I have no idea why David asked me to do it but I had the best role, I just get non-stop verbally abused by Will Arnett in the most scathing hilarious way. I spent the whole day cracking up at two of the funniest people I’ve hung out with. I felt like I had my own private Will and David comedy show.”

Sounds great. Maybe this is the kind of thing that’ll open people’s eyes to the fact these actors (and audiences) might not want an “Arrested Development” feature film. We’re just as big of fans of the show but the prospect of it happening but underwhelming would be tragic.

Written by Cross and English actor/comedian/writer Shaun Pye, ‘Todd Margaret’ is culture-clash comedy which centers on a U.S. executive protagonist who is mistakenly sent to Britain to run the company’s UK division and finds himself in over his head. The Russo Brothers, who helmed many episodes of “Arrested Development,” directed the show’s pilot which co-stars Cross himself, Amber Tamblyn, Sharon Horgan and Russell Tovey.

‘Todd Margaret’ is backed by Britain’s Channel 4 and is set to air sometime during December in the U.K. [WeLoveYouSo]
