Full Sundance Jury Revealed: Jason Reitman, Matt Groening, Kimberly Peirce & More Go To Utah

Susanne Bier, Jeffrey Blitz, America Ferrera, Clark Gregg, Jose Padilha, Todd McCarthy and Lucy Walker Also Among This Year’s Jury

While Asian media got an early jump on the news that “The Host” and “Mother” director Bong Joon-ho would be part of the Sundance Film Festival jury, the organizers have finally revealed the full selection of those who will be bestowing prizes this year and it’s a pretty impressive lineup.

The filmmakers competing in the U.S. Dramatic Jury category will have some serious folks looking over their work. Director Jason Reitman, longtime film critic Todd McCarthy, helmer Kimberly Peirce, longtime David Gordon Green cinematographer Tim Orr and actress America Ferrara will preside on the jury. Meanwhile, joining Joon-ho on the World Dramatic Jury will be Susanne Bier, coming off a Golden Globe win for her latest “In A Better World” as well as Rajendra Roy the Chief Curator at Department of Film at The Museum of Modern Art.

Helping keep things light will be “The Simpsons” creator Matt Groening who stands on the U.S. Documentary Jury with directors Jeffrey Blitz (“Spellbound“) and Laura Poitras (“The Oath“) along with producer Jess Search and editor Sloane Klevin.

The Sundance Film Festival kicks off on Thursday and you can check out the full roster of jury members in all categories here.
