You got AMC+ right? You know, the streaming platform for those that love AMC shows so much that they pay a monthly fee to get access to all the episodes of “The Walking Dead?” Well, if you do, feel free to shoot over your login credentials because I need them to watch “Gangs of London.”

As seen in the first trailer for the new crime thriller series coming, exclusively, to AMC+, “Gangs of London” tells the story of a murdered crime boss and the power vacuum that is created in his absence. That alone isn’t the most inspired premise for a series, as we’ve seen countless gangster films tackle a similar plot. However, when you add in the fact that “Gangs of London” is co-created and co-directed by Gareth Evans, then suddenly you know you’re in for a treat.
Evans, of course, is the filmmaker best known for his already-classic action franchise, “The Raid.” He’s easily one of the best action filmmakers around and you can see his style in the footage from “Gangs of London.” He also directs two of the episodes, with Corin Hardy and Xavier Gens splitting the final seven episodes. The series stars Joe Cole, Sope Dirisu, Lucian Msamati, Michelle Fairley, Mark Lewis Jones, and Narges Rashidi.

And even though I joked about it up top, the series is exclusive to AMC’s streaming service, which I completely forgot was an actual thing. That being said, if there was ever a reason to give AMC+ a shot, “Gangs of London” is probably the first major reason.
“Gangs of London” debuts exclusively on AMC+ on October 1.
Here’s the synopsis:
When the head of London’s most powerful crime family is assassinated, the city is being torn apart by the turbulent power struggles of its international gangs and the sudden power vacuum that’s created.
