Got a Tip?

George Miller Won’t Stop Talking About ‘Justice League’ Movie That Will Never Happen

Remember Teen “Justice League”? The film that would have had Common star as Green Lantern, Adam Brody as The Flash, and people like Mary Elizabeth Winstead, had tested for Wonder Woman, etc. etc. (this article had some more casting auditions, rumors, etc.)

It was set to ruin The Justice League D.C. Comics franchise before it even got started and was almost rushed into production because of the 2007 writer’s strike, but cooler heads prevailed and realized (hopefully), that this subpar cast would have been akin to disastrous comic franchises like “Fantastic Four” or “Ghost Rider.” Anyhow, yes, they pulled the plug, it’s dead.

However director-to-be George Miller is still talking about it, because he can and because MTV probably asked him about it. He insists he’ll still make it though that one day, might be far, far away from now.

“I’m still attached to the film. Warner Bros. is waiting to develop the other characters a little bit and then bring ‘Justice League’ together. After the success of [“The Dark Knight”], it’s well known that they will develop the other characters and then bring them together in ‘Justice League’. That’s a fair way down the track.”

So another non-update. Wait, why did we write this up again? [Splashpage/Image courtesy Vulture, hilariously made months ago]

PS, while we’re putting up non-news comic book stories. Here’s a dumb rumor that Sam Worthington (“Avatar”) will play Batman in the third Batman if Christian Bale bails. We don’t care enough to put up a full piece, because we’ve already posted too much nerd stuff today.
