Previously, Glen Powell has made it clear he is not interested in Marvel films and superhero films, in general. However, if you’re looking for a Batman, perhaps someone can convince him.
Speaking in a long profile over at GQ, Glen Powell talked about his aversion to superhero films. But interestingly, when he was on the Warner Bros. lot and saw some Batman props, he ended up admitting that he does have love for the Caped Crusader. And thus, if given the opportunity, he might be interested in role.
“I was always a Batman guy,” Powell admitted. “I would have a wild take on Batman. It definitely would not be like a Matt Reeves tone – it’d probably be closer to Keaton.”

Interestingly, it just so happens that James Gunn has a new ‘Batman’ film in the works, titled “The Brave and the Bold,” and Powell would be a good candidate for the role. He’s got the look (as in he can play a billionaire playboy but also have a great jawline for the costume). He has the charisma. And judging by his recent performances, he has the acting chops as well. All that to say, Powell could be an inspired choice for Bruce Wayne, aka Batman, for Gunn.
Obviously, showing interest in a superhero property doesn’t mean that the rumor mill should go crazy with speculation that Powell is in talks with Gunn about starring in the film. That just isn’t the case. But there are worse fancastings out there, that’s for sure.
So, if you’re reading this, James Gunn, maybe give the guy a quick call?
