'GOLF': Will Ferrell & Ramy Youssef To Star In A New Netflix Comedy Series

Will Ferrell is ready to make a Netflix series, and he’s teaming with Ramy Youssef to make it happen.

According to a just-released Netflix announcement, Ferrell and Youssef are set to star opposite each other in the new series “GOLF” (yes, it’s capitalized). The exact plot of the series isn’t known, but we do know that Ferrell will play a fictional golf legend in the show. The series is co-created by Ferrell, Youssef, and Josh Rabinowitz. The latter of which worked on series such as “The Carmichael Show” and “Ramy.”

Ferrell hasn’t done a lot of TV work lately. He did recently star in the Apple TV+ series, “The Shrink Next Door,” and obviously ‘SNL’ years ago. But mostly, he sticks with films such as recent projects like “Strays,” “Barbie,” “Will & Harper,” as well as upcoming films “Despicable Me 4” and “You’re Cordially Invited.”

Youssef, on the other hand, broke out thanks to the aforementioned series, “Ramy,” which ran on Hulu and cemented the comedian as a serious acting talent. He’s also appeared in films and TV series such as “Poor Things” and “Wish.” He’s also worked behind the scenes on series such as “Mo” and “The Bear.”

“GOLF” is said to be a 10-episode series, but we’re unsure when production will begin. However, with Ferrell and Youssef leading the way,  you know Netflix would like to get this one going sooner rather than later.
