After taking audiences by storm and surprise in 2022, “Heartstopper” is back with a third season in October. Author and series creator Alice Oseman seems to be keeping the relationships steady and focusing on the mundane dilemmas of maintaining a relationship with high school ending and all the minor problems that might eat one up while getting settled on things. One way the show will keep its storyline steady is not just through growing like it is but thanks to an all-returning cast.

This season stars Kit Connor, Joe Locke, William Gao, Yasmin Finney, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Tobie Donovan, Jenny Walser, Rhea Norwood, and Leila Khan. It is great news to see all the cast reprise their roles after the many roles our cast has been filled with that might’ve gotten in the way. Connor is starring this year in “The Wild Robot” and also in three other films down the line. Locke is already seizing a significant place in the MCU with “Agatha All Along,” along with making his way strongly into theater. Just like how our cast is growing, “Heartstopper” seems to be evolving nicely, hopefully having the same joyful charm that seems evident to appear from what has been shown.
This season of “Heartstopper” is executively produced by Oseman, Patrick Walters, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, and Euros Lyn. The production company behind it is See-Saw Films. The creator/writer of the series is Oseman. This season will contain eight episodes. Director Andy Newbery (“Hidden,” “15 Days”) takes over as the lead filmmaker in season three.
Here’s the synopsis:

As the summer holiday ends and the months race on, the friends begin to realize that the school year will come with both its joys and its challenges. As they learn more about each other and their relationships, plan social events and parties, and start thinking about university choices, everyone must learn to lean on those they love when life doesn’t go to plan.
Season 3 of “Heartstopper” will premiere on October 3 on Netflix. Watch the new trailer below.
