On Sunday night at the Sundance Film Festival, Park Chan-wook's Hitchcockian thriller "Stoker" will make its World Premiere, and Fox Searchlight has been busy getting the word out. Earlier today, a batch of new images came out, and now as you're about to head into your weekend, the first clip has arrived.
Pennedy by Wentworth Miller (yes, the "Prison Break" dude), the story centers on India (Mia Wasikowska), whose father dies in a car crash, and she has to adjust to living with her Uncle Charlie (Matthew Goode), who moves in and also comforts her unstable mother (Nicole Kidman). But of course, there's more than meets the eye to Charlie…and it seems, more than meets the eye to India as well. This first look at the movie is another reminder of how strong Kidman is, and it's a nice, intense little slice from the picture.
