The very best alien invasion sci-fi stories aren’t blockbuster films like “Independence Day.” The sci-fi genre works best with character-driven tales where the audience can put themselves into these incredible situations and believe what is going on. That’s where something like “Invasion” comes in. The Apple TV+ series has plenty of action and suspense, but this is a series that aims to take a character-driven approach to the idea of an alien invasion.

With the second season of “Invasion” just getting started, we’re happy to debut an exclusive clip from the upcoming episode of the series. For those unaware, “Invasion” takes a look at what might happen if Earth is invaded by aliens, but the series splits its focus amongst various characters around the world. In the second season, the aliens are ramping up their attacks, leading to a potential world-ending war. And in the clip, we see Jamila (India Brown) take the bold, brave step of leaving the safety of home to go join the fight for humanity.
“Invasion” is brought to you by producers Simon Kinberg and David Weil. Kinberg is probably best known as one of the creative masterminds of the “X-Men” franchise over the years, and Weil is the showrunner of the massive Prime Video series, “Citadel.”
The second season of “Invasion” just kicked off last week. You can watch new episodes of the show every Wednesday on Apple TV+. Take a look at the exclusive clip from Episode 2 below.
