There are few things more dull than the ongoing, passionate battle between small fractions of the DC and Marvel movie fanbase. The two camps are engaged online in a prolonged battle to determine which corporate backed adaptation of a comic book brand is better than the other. It’s one thing to be a fan of either Marvel or DC, it’s another to make yourself hoarse (virtually speaking) in defending the supposed honor of a franchise. And at least one person is sick of all the bickering: James Gunn.
The director of the two “Guardians Of the Galaxy” movies is a regular presence on Twitter, and he used the platform to tell his audience and those who might be lurking, to take their “silly” Marvel vs. DC debate — which is usually spurred by some news about “Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice” — elsewhere. He doesn’t have the time for it:

You know what? It is silly. If you’re invested in a movie property to the degree where you’re waging a permanent online war against random strangers who have a different opinion, maybe it’s time to step away from the computer.
