In the works forever, the reboot of “The Crow” has gone through many incarnations (at one time, Stephen Norrington of “The League Of Extraordinary Gentleman” infamy was going to direct) and bumps in the road, including a potential shoot last year with Jack Huston and Andrea Riseborough attached to star, that fell apart after Relativity Studios faced legal and financial woes. Mashable reports that Aquaman himself, Jason Momoa, will play the title role in “The Crow.” The actor is perhaps a bit more buff than the svelte goth of the comics, or Brandon Lee‘s lean look in the 1994 film, but who knows, it could work. Corin Hardy (“The Hallow“), who has been very patiently staying with the project through its many ups and downs, is still attached to direct, and while there’s no word yet on when it will shoot, it won’t affect Momoa’s work on “Aquaman,” which is due in cinemas in 2018.
So, barring any further complications, it looks like “The Crow” is finally ready to fly.
