He may be done with the ‘Aquaman’ franchise, but that doesn’t mean Jason Momoa is going to be out of the spotlight for long. In fact, he’s ready to sing and dance during the Super Bowl. Well, more specifically, he’s recreating an iconic film moment in a T-Mobile Super Bowl ad.
As is typically the case nowadays, T-Mobile has already released its Super Bowl ad for 2024. This year, we get the returning stars Zach Braff and Donald Faison (because “Scrubs” still has some love out there), but they’re also joined by none other than Jason Momoa. They’re promoting the new at-home internet service by recreating the legendary “Flashdance” scene. This time, instead of Jennifer Beals, we get Jason Momoa singing, dancing, and getting doused with water.
There’s really not much else to it, honestly. This is a good marketing moment for T-Mobile, as Momoa is still a massive star, even if his time as “Aquaman” has seemingly come to an end. It’s unclear if the actor will have another DC role in the future, though there has been a lot of talk about him being Lobo. In the meantime, he’s leading the cast of the upcoming “Minecraft” movie, which is expected to be a massive hit, especially in light of the success of last year’s “Super Mario Bros.”
Every year, we get tons of A-listers showing up in Super Bowl ads. We’ll have to see who else cashes a check and hocks some wares as we get closer to the big game this Sunday. But you can watch Momoa doing his “Flashdance” thing below:
