Netflix is hoping to build the series into something akin to their recent dramatic originals. Josh Duhamel and Leslie Bibb head up the cast. Duhamel takes on the role of Sheldon Sampson/The Utopian; the role offers Duhamel the chance to play on his previous heroic roles while also venturing into difficult themes. Bibb may come off with the best role of the series and the best performance as she portrays Grace Sampson/Lady Liberty. It’s arguably one of the most interesting storylines of the graphic novels, and the actress seems to be a perfect fit.
