2017 is going to be quite the year for Ridley Scott fans. New entries for two of the director’s iconic franchises — “Blade Runner” and “Alien” — will be arriving within a span of six months from each other. We’ve already got a taste of what’s coming in the Denis Villeneuve-helmed “Blade Runner 2049” with the first trailer, and now the curtain is rising higher on “Alien: Covenant.”
A new image has emerged of Katherine Waterston looking ready to kill in the film, which is still keeping its plot details under wraps, though James Franco has confirmed the recent surprise revelation that he’s in the film. As for what drew Scott back to the series? The challenge.
“It’s hard to scare people,” he told EW. “It’s a lot easier to make people laugh. But to really scare the sh– out of somebody? That’s difficult.”
