‘Landman’ Trailer: Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, Jon Hamm & More Star In Taylor Sheridan’s New Show

There really isn’t anyone nearly as prolific in Hollywood right now than Taylor Sheridan. In addition to his massive hit “Yellowstone,” he’s also created six series for Paramount+. It really does seem as if Sheridan is the reason Paramount+ exists right now. Well, he’s about to add another series to the list with the upcoming “Landman.”

As seen in the trailer for “Landman,” there are some serious “Yellowstone” vibes with Taylor Sheridan’s new series. However, instead of the beautiful landscapes of Montana, you get the dry heat of Texas and oil fields. The series tells the story of various folks trying to capitalize however they can in the realm of oil—from the people working the rigs to the billionaires collecting the money.

The ensemble cast includes Billy Bob Thornton, Ali Larter, Michelle Randolph, Jacob Lofland, Kayla Wallace, James Jordan, Mark Collie, Paulina Chávez, Demi Moore, Jon Hamm, Andy Garcia, and Michael Peña. The series is co-created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace.

“Landman” debuts on Paramount+ on November 17. You can watch the new trailer below.

Here’s the synopsis:

Set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas, LANDMAN is a modern-day tale of fortune-seeking in the world of oil rigs. Based on the notable 11-part podcast “Boomtown” from Imperative Entertainment and Texas Monthly, the series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics.
