Liam Neeson is 67 years old. And by the time he starts filming his latest action film, the actor will have just celebrated his 68th birthday. But yet, audiences still love the man and his “particular set of skills,” which means that folks will be pretty excited to see who he’s teaming with for the new film “Memory.”
According to Variety, Neeson is set to star in a new action film, “Memory,” which will be directed by none other than Martin Campbell. The filmmaker, of course, is probably best known for Bond films like “Casino Royale” and “GoldenEye,” however, he’s also helmed more recent projects like “Green Lantern” and 2017’s “The Foreigner.” And if the latter film, featuring Jackie Chan, is any indication, Campbell definitely knows how to work with aging action stars.
“Memory” is said to follow Neeson, who plays an assassin that finds himself on the run after refusing to complete a mission assigned to him by a criminal organization. Not only is his life in jeopardy from those bad guys, but the assassin also has the FBI on his tale.

“‘Memory’ is an exceptional high-concept script, and we could not be more excited to have Liam on board to star,” said John Friedberg, president of STX International. “Martin [Campbell] is a true expert in elevating the genre, and will make an explosive version of this compelling and pulse-racing story.”
STX International is handling distribution of the film in certain European territories, but a North American distributor has not been found, yet. Obviously, with any Liam Neeson action film, we expect the bidding to be pretty competitive, as the actor seems to still be a draw among audiences.
