‘Lioness’ Season 2 Trailer: Zoe Saldaña & Nicole Kidman Return For Taylor Sheridan’s CIA Thriller In October

Can a recently recruited operative help the Lioness program? The upcoming season of “Lioness” sees the team facing a mysterious threat. Their new member is tasked with a dangerous mission, as Joe (Zoe Saldaña), Kaitlyn (Nicole Kidman), and Byron (Michael Kelly) provide much-needed support. Meanwhile, Joe faces difficulties in colliding with her personal and professional interests.

Zoe Saldaña, Laysla De Oliveira, Michael Kelly, Morgan Freeman, and Nicole Kidman once again star in the Paramount+ series. “The Umbrella Academy” actress Genesis Rodriguez joins the cast as Captain Josephina Carrillo. Saldaña and Kidman take on added duties, serving as executive producers alongside Taylor Sheridan, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Jill Wagner, David Lemanowicz, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman, and Keith Cox

The project hails from “Yellowstone” co-creator Sheridan, who also wrote 2015’s “Sicario.” Saldaña reflected on Sheridan’s influences on the acclaimed film “Lioness” during a Hollywood Reporter interview. “I do know that he has a great deal of admiration for the real work that gets done when we’re all sleeping, so he takes it upon himself to highlight this world,” the actress said.

As the CIA’s fight against terror moves closer to home, Joe (Saldaña), Kaitlyn (Kidman), and Byron (Kelly) enlist a new Lioness operative to infiltrate a previously unknown threat. With pressure mounting from all sides, Joe is forced to confront the profound personal sacrifices she has made as the leader of the Lioness program.
