Got a Tip?

Louis C.K. Will Write, Direct, And Star In ‘I’m A Cop’

Parks And Recreation Louis C.K.First, let’s be clear — this is not a sequel to "Let’s Be Cops." Rather, it’s a new project from the trailblazing Louis C.K. who is taking his D.I.Y. ethic to feature films. After selling comedy specials and concert tickets through his own website, and striking a unique deal with FX that gives him complete creative power over his smash hit series "Louie," the comedian is once again taking on as many jobs as possible.

He’ll write, direct, and star in the indie flick "I’m A Cop." The story will follow a depressed, middle-aged, volunteer cop who has to reluctantly step up and become the real deal when his decorated mother passes away. It sounds like a bit of a more loser-centric riff on his sweet role as Dave Sanderson, Leslie Knope’s brief love interest during his season two arc on "Parks And Recreation." But either way, we’re pretty excited to see Louis C.K. bring his voice to the big screen, but he’ll have the help of Hollywood mega-producer Scott Rudin, who is also working on the movie.

No word yet on when production is scheduled to roll or if it will affect the filming of a sixth season of "Louie." [THR]
