“That’s actually incorrect,” Robert Downey Jr. told MTV News when asked if Mickey Rourke would be playing the “Iron Man 2” villain Crimson Dynamo.
Is Rourke up for the role of Whiplash, another potential badguy? “I can neither confirm nor deny that,” RDJ said. “Or maybe it’s some semblance of both. Here, I can tell you everything about the story except I won’t give away the ending. The nerd stuff is top-drawer security.”
Is Rourke even going to be in the picture considering his asking price was being “lowballed” by Marvel? Even Downey suggests his appearance is still up in the air. “If he’s signed on to do it, I’m super-excited,” Downey said. “If he’s in ‘Iron Man 2,’ we have a fantastic shot at doing something interesting again.” [ed. and if not? no shot?]
