The final trailer for “Mile 22” has officially dropped. The film, starring Mark Wahlberg, is an action film that follows a group of highly trained government agents who must transport a foreign asset to safety.
The latest trailer that shows Wahlberg experiencing the commute from hell is soundtracked by one of the worlds hottest trios: Migos. The previously unreleased track “Is You Ready?” makes it clear that this will be no joyride. Which is ironic, considering Offset was just arrested after being pulled over for an improper lane change. But I digress.
Variety reported that Wahlberg and the film’s director Peter Berg, have every intention of making this film a franchise, stating “Wahlberg described the project as ‘an intelligent, adult action film’ and said he and Berg want to make the first film as the start of a trilogy. ‘I still don’t feel like I have the movie, the role, that defines me,’ he added.”
“Mile 22” is the latest work from filmmaker Peter Berg, who is best known for “Lone Survivor” and “Deepwater Horizon.” Scripted by Graham Roland and Lea Carpenter, the film also stars Lauren Cohan, Ronda Rousey, and John Malkovich.
The film is slated for US release on August 17, 2018.

In a visceral modern thriller from the director of Lone Survivor, Mark Wahlberg stars as James Silva, an operative of the CIA’s most highly-prized and least-understood unit. Aided by a top-secret tactical command team, Silva must retrieve and transport an asset who holds life-threatening information to Mile 22 for extraction before the enemy closes in.
