Hey wait, shouldn’t this be: Morgan Freeman joins Christopher Nolan‘s “Interstellar“? What gives? At any rate, Nolan is producing Wally Pfister‘s directorial debut, and it seems it’s all about keeping it in the family.
The distinct voice and undeniable presence of Freeman will now be heard and felt in “Transcendence.” Freeman joins Johnny Depp, Rebecca Hall, Kate Mara and Paul Bettany in the movie which of course is surrounded by secrecy. But we do know the Black List script by Jack Paglen (one of our Screenwriters On The Rise) revolves around an assassinated scientist who gets his brain uploaded to a computer.
There’s nothing much else to add except that production begins next month in Los Angeles. And with “Interstellar” slated to shoot later, maybe Freeman will be able to do both. “Transcendence” will be achieved on April 25, 2014.
