“Murder, She Wrote” ran for many seasons from 1984 to 1996. The series tells the story of Jessica Fletcher, a former school teacher and mystery writer, who happens to be a natural at solving real crimes. In the original series, Fletcher is iconically played by Angela Lansbury. We have to assume the film will follow a similar story.
Curtis is one of the most beloved actors working today. Recently, she has appeared in films such as “The Last Showgirl,” “Borderlands,” “Haunted Mansion,” and “Everything Everywhere All at Once.” The latter of which earned her an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. On TV, she’s appeared in episodes of “The Bear” and “The Sticky.”
It’s unclear when we might see “Murder, She Wrote” arrive in theaters. The film is expected to be distributed by Universal, with a script written by Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo, the duo behind “Dumb Money.”
