Every year, Netflix releases a preview teaser of its film slate. And it seems that every year, it gets more and more ridiculous. The 2022 teaser is nothing short of ludicrous when you take into account just what the streaming service is putting on screens in one calendar year.
In the teaser, we get first looks at films with the stars of those features talking directly to the camera to promote. The projects include features such as “The Gray Man,” “Knives Out 2,” “The Good Nurse,” “Slumberland,” “Hustle,” “You People,” “Spiderhead,” “The School for Good and Evil,” and much, much more.
READ MORE: The 100 Most Anticipated Films Of 2022
If you’re curious just how star-studded the 2022 Netflix film slate is, take a look at the actors attached to projects arriving this year: Christian Bale, John Boyega, Jessica Chastain, Don Cheadle, Lily Collins, Emma Corrin, Colman Domingo, Adam Driver, Colin Firth, Greta Gerwig, Henry Golding, Dakota Johnson, Mila Kunis, Queen Latifah, Jennifer Lopez, Anthony Mackie, Carey Mulligan, Jack O’Connell, Regé-Jean Page, Teyonah Parris, Jesse Plemons, Florence Pugh, Noomi Rapace, Eddie Redmayne, Chris Rock, Jason Segel, and Rebel Wilson.
As for the filmmakers bringing you these features, you have folks such as Judd Apatow, Noah Baumbach, Edward Berger, Niki Caro, Scott Cooper, Guillermo del Toro, Sally El Hosaini, Kim Farrant, Paul Feig, John Lee Hancock, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Louis Leterrier, Shawn Levy, Tobias Lindholm, Richard Linklater, Tyler Perry, Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Nora Twomey, George C. Wolfe, Kenya Barris, Carrie Cracknell, Dev Patel, JJ Perry, Matthew Reilly, and Millicent Shelton.
This is the epitome of a studio flex, isn’t it? Over the course of three minutes, Netflix has once again shown just how much money it spends on talent for just one year. And it also shows why the streaming service is the biggest one currently on the market.
Release dates for most of these projects aren’t known at this time, but there’s no way you’ll miss out when these are released. Netflix sure does love to market the hell out of their films. You can watch the flex below:
Here’s the full list of Netflix 2022 slate so far (note, this won’t be it and there will be more to come):
