"The Company Of Wolves" and "Ondine" director Neil Jordan returns to the fantastical this year with vampire tale "Byzantium." Set to make its world premiere at TIFF in a couple of months, a handful of new images from the film have arrived.
Starring Gemma Arterton, Saorise Ronan and Sam Riley, the film tells a unique bloodsucker tale that's a cut different than the woes of Edward and Bella. Here's the official synopsis: Two mysterious women seek refuge in a run-down coastal resort. Clara meets lonely Noel, who provides shelter in his deserted guesthouse, Byzantium. Schoolgirl Eleanor befriends Frank and tells him their lethal secret. They were born 200 years ago and survive on human blood. As knowledge of their secret spreads, their past catches up on them with deathly consequence.
No release date or stateside distributor yet for the film.
